ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE SPECIAL REVENUE FUND
FOR EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS IN THE AMOUNT OF $6,897 RECEIVED
FROM THE FY08 EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PREFORMANCE GRANT,
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER ACCEPT SAME; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS
PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Emergency Preparedness Program has received notice of the
availability of additional funding from the Governor's Division of Emergency
Management; and
WHEREAS, the City's Emergency Preparedness Program desires to receive
these funds to continue providing services to the city; and
WHEREAS, the award of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to
the adoption of the FY 2008-2009 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated into the Special Revenue Fund $6,897
for the Emergency Management Performance Grant and the City Manager is authorized
to enter into a contract with The Governor's Division of Emergency Management for the
Fire Department/Emergency Preparedness accepting same.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
