RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF W�Lhi i H
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A CATERPILLAR
HYDRAULIC EXCAVATOR THROUGH THE BUY BOARD
COOPERATIVE PURCHASING PROGRAM FROM WARREN
CATERPILLAR IN THE AMOUNT OF $344,044.00; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, local governments are authorized by Chapter 791, et seq., The Inter-
Local Cooperation Act of the Government Code, to agree with other local governments
to form purchasing cooperatives; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls has passed a resolution
approving the participation in such cooperative agreements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase an excavator for the city landfill,
and
WHEREAS, it is in the City's best interest to purchase through the Buy Board
Purchasing Cooperative,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Authorization is granted to purchase a hydraulic excavator from
Warren Caterpillar in the amount of $344,044.00.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
