RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, MAKING AN APPROPRATION IN THE GENERAL FUND
IN THE AMOUNT OF $655,554 TO PURCHASE A GRINDER FOR USE
AT THE CITY'S LANDFILL; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN
TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City desires to purchase a grinder for use in the City's landfill
operation; and
WHEREAS, the cost for this unit is $655,554, and was originally planned to be
purchased through a five-year capital lease purchase agreement; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to purchase this unit outright to save in interest
expenses; and
WHEREAS, purchasing the unit outright will require the use of General Fund
Reserves, which wasn't anticipated in the City's budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. There is hereby approved an appropriation of $655,554 in the City's
General Fund to purchase a grinder for the City's landfill operation.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
