RESOLUTION NO. I��
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING NON-PRIMARY ENTITLEMENT GRANTS
FROM THE AVIATION DIVISION OF THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION FOR HANGER CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS AT
KICKAPOO DOWNTOWN AIRPORT; FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED
WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls intends to construct hangers at Kickapoo
Downtown Airport; and
WHEREAS, the City has applied for assistance from the Texas Department of
Transportation for hanger and associated construction projects; and
WHEREAS, the City will be responsible for 20% of the total project costs for this
project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls names the Texas Department of
Transportation as its agent for the purposes of applying for, receiving and disbursing all
funds for these improvements and for the administration of contracts necessary for the
implementation of these improvements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City of Wichita Falls hereby directs the City Manager to
execute, at the appropriate time, and with the appropriate authorizations of this
governing body, all contracts and agreements with the State of Texas, represented by
the Texas Department of Transportation, and such other parties as shall be necessary
and appropriate for the implementation of these improvements to Kickapoo Downtown
Airport.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
