Ordinance Rezoning Approximately 22 Acres Of Land Out Of
Abstract 161, Also Known As 4140 Reilly Road, Adjacent Right -Of-
Way Of Reilly Road, And Approximately 2 Acres Of Land Owned By
The Union Pacific Railroad, From Single Family -1 To Heavy
Industrial, And Amending The Land Use Plan Map To Show The Area
As Industrial
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission considered the proposed
zoning change at its October 12, 2011 meeting and voted unanimously to recommend
approval of this request; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed this request and has determined that
the herein described Zoning and Land Use Plan amendments are in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
1. Approximately 22 acres of land out of Abstract 161, approximately 2 acres of
land owned by the Union Pacific Railroad, and adjacent right -of -way of Reilly Road, as
shown on the attached map incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment "A," and
further described by field notes incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment "B," are
hereby zoned Heavy Industrial.
2. The Land Use Plan Map is hereby amended to change the aforementioned
area from Low Density Residential to Industrial.

Field Notes
Beginning at a point on the most northeastern corner of land annexed by Ordinance 84-
99 on August 31, 1999. Said point also being the intersection of the city limits and the
eastern line of property owned by Union Pacific Railroad Company,
Thence west along the city limit line approximately 952 feet to a point on the east line
of dedicated street right -of -way of Howmet Road,
Thence south along the east line of said dedicated right -of -way of Howmet Road to a
point in the southwest corner of Lot 1, Block 1, Paint Addition. Said point also being on
the north right -of -way line of Reilly Road,
Thence south crossing Reilly Road to a point on the south right -of -way line of Reilly
Road. Said point also being on a General Commercial zoning boundary,
Thence east approximately 1,485 feet along the south right -of -way line of Reilly Road
to a point on a Heavy Industrial zoning boundary,
Thence northwesterly along the Heavy Industrial zoning boundary to a point on the
north right -of -way line of Reilly Road,
Thence west along the north right -of -way line of Reilly Road to a point on the eastern
line of property owned by Union Pacific Railroad Company,
Thence in a northwesterly direction along the eastern line of property owned by Union
Pacific Railroad Company, said line also being a Heavy Industrial zoning boundary, to
a place of beginning and containing approximately 28 acres.
