RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, ENDORSING FUNDING APPLICATIONS TO THE 4B
SALES TAX BOARD FOR THE FIRING RANGE, TRAIL EXTENSION
AND PARK LAND ACQUISITION; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT
THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, The 2008 Strategic Plan identifies the Police Department Firing
Range, an extension to the City's trail system and park land acquisition as priorities for
the 2008 calendar year; and
WHEREAS, These projects require a funding source, and are eligible for 4B
Sales Tax Board funding; and
WHEREAS, City staff is requesting the City Council's endorsement of these
projects to the 4B Sales Tax Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. An application for funding in the amount of $6,521,724 to the 4B
Sales Tax Board is hereby approved for these three projects.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
