RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO. 2 TO THE
CYPRESS WATER TREATMENT PLANT 10MG CONCRETE GROUND
STORAGE TANK PROJECT, CWF06-544-06 IN THE AMOUNT OF
$46,057.53; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THE RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls entered a unit price contract with Preload,
Inc. with the estimated total of $3,396,165.00; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 would deduct $46,057.53 to the contract for a revised
cost of $3,784,6952.47 and will increase the contract calendar days by 100 calendar
days revising the project completion date to March 31, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No.2 would adjust the actual quantities removed and
replace in previously approved Change Order No. 1; would include the cost for the
installation of the necessary plant piping, tank drain piping, and tank; and
WHEREAS, the City staff has reviewed all aspects of Change Order No. 2, and
recommends its approval.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Change Order No. 2 for the Cypress Water Treatment Plant 10MG
Concrete Ground Storage Tank Project, CWF06-544-06 is hereby approved and the City
Manager is authorized to execute Change Order No. 2.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which
this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
