RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, ADOPTING THE MITIGATION ACTION PLAN OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN
TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the importance of hazard mitigation
planning in reducing the loss of life and property in our community; and
WHEREAS, the City's Mitigation Action Plan identifies goals and strategies to
reduce hazard impacts; and
WHEREAS, the City Council supports the use of this plan as a guide to activities
that will aid in protecting its citizens from certain natural hazards.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The Mitigation Action Plan of the City of Wichita Falls is hereby
adopted.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
