RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, APPROVING AMENDMENTS TO THE 2005-2009
PUBLIC HOUSING AGENCY 5-YEAR PLAN AND HOUSING CHOICE
VOUCHER PROGRAM ADMINISTRATIVE PLAN; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, The City of Wichita Falls has received the Department of Housing
and Urban DevelopmenYs 2008/2009 Fair Market Rents; and
WHEREAS, Increases to the Fair Market Rents necessitate adjustments to the
2005-2009 Public Housing Agency 5-Year Plan and Housing Choice Voucher Program
Administrative Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The following sections of the 2005-2009 Public Housing Agency 5-
Year Plan and Housing Choice Voucher Program Administrative Plan are amended as
follows:
Part IV, Section B(1)(a), page 23 "Rent Determination Policies" of the Public Housing
Plan is amended to read as follows:
0-bedroom = 90%
1-bedroom = 98%
2-bedroom = 100%
3-bedroom = 92%
4-bedroom = 96%
Section 2P, Part 1 a, page 41, "Housing Choice Voucher Program Subisdies", is
amended to read as follows:
"The Payment Standard for the Housing Choice Vouchers is based on a range of 9�°�
90% to 110% of current Fair Market Rent, the highest level the PHA can approve
without HUD action."
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
