RESOLUTION ACCEPTING CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP)
GRANTS FROM THE AVIATION DIVISION OF THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION FOR FUEL FARM RELOCATION AND PARKING APRON
REHABILITATION AND EXPANSION AT KICKAPOO DOWNTOWN AIRPORT;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY
LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls intends to make certain improvements to
the Kickapoo Downtown Airport; and
WHEREAS, the general description of the project is described as fuel farm
relocation and parking apron rehabilitation and expansion projects; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls intends to request financial assistance from
the Texas Department of Transportation; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls names the Texas Department of
Transportation as its agent for the purposes of applying for, receiving and disbursing all
fund for these improvements and for the administration of contracts necessary for the
implementation of these improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. the City of Wichita Falls hereby authorizes the City Manager to
execute on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls, at the appropriate time, and with the
appropriate authorizations of this governing body, all contracts and agreements with the
State of Texas, represented by the Texas Department of Transportation, and such other
parties as shall be necessary and appropriate for the implementation of the
improvements at Kickapoo Downtown Airport.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
