RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A UNIFIED
MOBILE COMMAND CENTER FOR FIRE AND POLICE EMERGENCY
INCIDENT MANAGEMENT FROM FREIGHTLINER OF AUSTIN,
THROUGH THE TXMAS PROGRAM IN THE AMOUNT OF $388,096.00;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, Local Government Code Subchapter G, Section 271.103 allows a
local government to purchase goods and services available under Federal supply
schedules of the General Services Administration (GSA), and
WHEREAS, THE TXMAS (Texas Multiple Award Schedule) Program contracts
are adapted from GSA Federal Supply Service contract, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase a Unified Mobile Command
Center, and
WHEREAS, it is in the City's best interest to purchase through the TXMAS
Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Authorization is granted to purchase a Unified Mobile Command
Center for Fire and Police Emergency Incident Management from Freightliner of Austin
through the TXMAS (Texas Multiple Award Schedule) Program, in the amount of
$388,096.00.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
