RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPLY FOR
GRANT FUNDS TO THE COMMERCIAL EQUIPMENT DIRECT
ASSISTANCE GRANT PROGRAM FOR THE AN/PVS-14 MONOCULAR
NIGHT VISION SECURITY KIT WITH A VALUE OF $5,432.00; FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City has been notified that it is eligible for the AN/PVS-14
Monocular Night Vision Security Kit with a value of $5,432.00 from the Commercial
Equipment Direct Assistance Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to authorize the City Manager to submit a
grant application to obtain these funds; and
WHEREAS, providing this item to the Wichita Falls Police Department will
enhance the ability of law enforcement to respond to situations in low light
environments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to apply to the Commercial
Equipment Direct Assistance Grant Program for equipment with a value of $5,432.00.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which
this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
