Res 078-2008 6/3/2008 RESOLUTION NO. 78-2008
RESOLUTION AWARDING A BID TO CDWG IN THE AMOUNT OF
$88,355.30 FOR THE PURCHASE OF A STORAGE AREA NETWORK
SERVER; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City's 2007-08 budget includes funds to replace several servers
that are in excess of five years old and no longer adequate to run the City's standard
server operating systems and applications; and
WHEREAS, bids were received from various State DIR Vendors for the
purchase of this equipment; and
WHEREAS, CDWG submitted the bid that is in the best interest of the City for
this purchase.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Authorization is hereby granted to award a bid to CDWG for the
purchase of a SAN Server in the amount of $88,355.30.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
