RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID AND CONTRACT FOR THE TAXIWAY
"A" LIGHTING PROJECT AT KICKAPOO DOWNTOWN AIRPORT;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION W,aS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desires to install marking lights along
Taxiway "A" at Kickapoo Downtown Airport to facilitate the nighttime movement of
aircraft using the airfield; and
WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration Airport Improvement Program
entitlement money is available to the City of Wichita Falls to fund 95% of the cost for
this project and sufficient airport funds are available to fund the additional 5% of the
project cost.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . Said bid of F&W Electrical in the amount of $285,000.00 is hereby
accepted, and the City Manager is authorized to execute a contract for the City with
said Contractor for the improvements outlined above at Kickapoo Downtown Airport.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
