RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID AND CONTRACT FOR THE A-4
CONNECTOR CONSTRUCTION AT KICKAPOO DOWNTOWN
AIRPORT; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desires to construct an A-4 connector at
Kickapoo Downtown Airport to facilitate the movement of aircraft to taxi on the airfield;
and
WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration Airport Improvement Program
entitlement money is available to the City of Wichita Falls to fund 95% of the cost for
this project and sufficient airport funds are available to fund the additional 5% of the
project cost.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . Said bid of LANCO Turf & Seeding in the amount of $507,732.75
is hereby accepted, and the City Manager is authorized to execute a contract for the
City with said Contractor for the improvements outlined above at Kickapoo Downtown
Airport.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
