RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, APPROVING AMENDMENTS TO THE 2007-2008
BUDGET OF THE 4B SALES TAX BOARD FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDING
FOR THE SKATE PARK PARKING LOT AND FOR RIVER BEND
NATURE WORKS; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING
AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, The 4B Sales Tax Board met on May 15 to consider finro requests;
and
WHEREAS, The first request was from the City to assist in funding the skate
park parking lot in the amount of $58,650; and
WHEREAS, The second request was from the River Bend Nature Works to fund
construction of the Bryant Edwards Learning Center in the amount of $600,000; and
WHEREAS, Both requests were funded as requested, and a budget amendment
in the amount of $658,650 is now required to encumber the 4B Sales Tax funds for this
project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The 2007-2008 Budget of the 4B Sales Tax Board is hereby
amended in the amount of $658,650 for these two projects.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
