RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NOS. 1, 2, AND 3 FOR
2008 STREET REHABILITATION PROJECT(CWF08-100-04); FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls entered a unit price contract with Zack
Burkett Company with the estimated total cost of $2,217,293.30; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 will reduce $31,595.07 pavement marking
costs to the contract, but the reduction of $31,595.07 will be used for additional asphalt
paving. Change order No. 2 will add $60,423.50 to the contract. Change Order No. 3
will add $76,489.05 to the contract. This will result in a net increase in the contract of
$136,912.55 for a new total contract amount of $2,354,205.85; and
WHEREAS, the City staff has reviewed all aspects of this change order and feels
that it is in the City's best interest to approve.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Change Order No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 for the 2008 Street
Rehabilitation Project (CWF08-100-04) is hereby approved and the City Manager is
authorized to make amendments to this contract.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
