RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION
OF FURNISHINGS AND EQUIPMENT FROM BAKER EQUIPMENT
COMPANY FOR THE SEWER REHABILITATION CAMERA TRUCK ; IN
THE AMOUNT OF $117,066.00. FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT
THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, funds were included in the 2007-2008 budget for the purchase of a
sewer camera truck for the City's Sewer Rehabilitation Division; and
WHEREAS, Staff feels that it is in the "best interest" of the City to purchase
equipment that is compatible with the existing system; and
WHEREAS, the City has a history of satisfactory service with Baker Equipment
Company; and
WHEREAS, the total cost including the cab & chassis, aluminum van body. and
installation of furnishings and equipment is less than the total budgeted cost of
$160,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Authorization is granted for the purchase and installation of
furnishings and equipment for the Sewer Rehabilitation camera truck to Baker
Equipment Company in the amount of $117,066.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
