RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 FOR THE
HAZARD ELIMINATION/SAFETY PROJECTS THROUGH THE TEXAS
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION; FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED
WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls entered into an advanced funding
agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation for Hazard Elimination/Safety
projects; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls agreed to supply $60,421 in matching
funds; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 will add $50,000.00 to the contract for a revised
local match of $110,421.00; and
WHEREAS, the City staff has reviewed all aspects of this change order and feels
that it is in the City's best interest to approve.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Change Order No. 1 for the Texas Department of Transportation
Hazard Elimination/Safety projects is hereby approved and the City Manager is
authorized to make amendments to this contract.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
