RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDERS NO. 2 AND NO. 3 TO
A CONTRACT WITH GE MICROWAVE DATA SYSTEMS, RFP #6-08 IN
THE AMOUNT OF ($25,833); FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THE RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO
THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls entered a contract with GE MDS, LLC with
an contract amount of $3,611,203.40; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 was approved which reduced the contract
amount by $18,653.00; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 would reduce the contract amount by an
additional $30,167.00; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 3 would add $56,000.00 to the contract bringing
the total revised contract amount to $3,618,383.40; and
WHEREAS, the City staff has reviewed all aspects of these Change Orders and
recommends approval.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Change Order No. 2 and Change Order No. 3 For The Public Safety
Mobile Data Wireless Infrastructure RFP #6-08 are hereby approved and the City
Manager is authorized to execute Change Orders No. 2 and No. 3.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which
this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.

amount of equipment being p�iced on them. There are 2 r�sor�s for the incr�se of fhe monopoies instaYaGon cost. FiBt is
that the City requires a minimum wind speed load of 90 MPH �or any new tower oonstruction and the monopoles that GE MDS
had in the oriDinal proposal w�er�e only rated for 80 MPN. Secor�dly, a Core Sarr�ple � d C�e so� at 2 of the sfte� is not
typical of tltia rogion and will roqui�e a daeper core to be dug, and more corxxet�e will be u�ed b meet tt�e Monopole
manufac�urors engin�g spec�icadons. Additlonally this Charge Order will extend the projed 21 days becau�e of fhe delay
in getting the cae sdl aample resulta and engineering chanyes Uo the monopoles. This extension should not af�ect any major
mib s6one completion dates.
This Change Order w�ll increase the overall contrad by 358,000.
