RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF EIGHT (8) 3 /4-TON PICKUPS;
ONE (1) 3 /4-TON CAB & CHASSIS AND ONE (1) 3 /<-TON CARGO VAN FROM
GRAND PRAIRIE FORD IN THE AMOUNT OF $172,733.00. FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS
PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the purchase of
eight (8) 3 /4-ton pickups, one (1) 3 /<-ton cab & chassis and one (1) 3 /4 ton cargo van and
WHEREAS, bids were received and publicly opened on February 15, 2008 and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase eight (8) 3 /4-ton pickups, one (1) 3 /<-ton
cab & chassis and one (1) 3 /4 ton cargo van for the City fleet.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Authorization is granted to award the bid for the purchase of eight (8) 3 /4-
ton pickups, one (1) 3 /4-ton cab & chassis and one (1) 3 /4-ton cargo van to Grand Prairie Ford in
the amount of $172,733.00.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this
resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
