Resolution authorizing the City Manager to make application to the
Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division for a Justice
Assistance Grant (JAG) Program totaling up to $21,000.00
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has been notified that it is eligible to apply
for grant funding from the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division ; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to authorize the City Manager to submit an
application to obtain any available funds from the Of fice of the Governor, Criminal
Justice Division; and,
WHEREAS, the use of these funds are planned to be used to assist in the
purchase of upgraded communications equipment for the Crisis Negotiators Unit.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to apply for a Justice Assistance Grant
through the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division, for funds totaling up to
$21,000.00.
