Resolution authorizing the City Manager to make application to the
Office of the Governor, Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP) in
the amount of $59,000.00
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has been notified that it is eligible to apply
for grant funding from the Office of the Governor, Homeland Security Grant Program
(HSGP); and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to authorize the City Manager to submit an
application to obtain available funds in the amount of $59,000.00 from the Office of the
Governor, Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP); and,
WHEREAS, the use of these funds are planned to be used to purchase Facial
Recognition Software to be used by the Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to apply for a Homeland Security Grant
Program (HSGP) through the Office of the Governor, for funds in the amount of
$59,000.00.
