RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, APPROVING THE AMENDMENT TO THE PROPOSED USE OF
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDS IN A
PREVIOUSLY APPROVED CONSOLIDATED PLAN REGARDING
RENOVATION OF THE MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. COMMUNITY CENTER;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY
LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls administers the Community Development Block
Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has held a Public Hearing to receive citizen input and the
City Manager and staff have recommended this amendment; and
WHEREAS, during a Public Hearing, the full City Council reviewed the recommended
amendment and approved the project in the Action Plan to the Consolidated Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Council of Wichita Falls, Texas, hereby approves and adopts
amendment to the Action Plan for the period of October 1, 2007 to September 30, 2008 that is
part of the Consolidated Plan. Such amendment will consist of budget revision allocating
$125,000 for the renovation project at the Martin Luther King child care center,
SECTION 2. The City Council authorizes the City Manager to execute any and all
contracts to implement the amendment.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this
resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
