RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF 972 YARD
WASTE CARTS AND 1,944 REFUSE CARTS FROM REHRIG PACIFIC
COMPANY, IN THE AMOUNT OF $143,564.40, THROUGH THE BUY
BOARD PURCHASING COOPERATIVE; FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED
WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, local governments are authorized by Chapter 791,et seq., The
Interlocal Cooperation Act of the Government Code, to agree with other local
governments to form purchasing cooperatives; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls has passed a resolution
approving the participation in such cooperative agreements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase rollout refuse and yard waste
carts, and
WHEREAS, it is in the City's best interest to purchase through the Buy Board
Purchasing Cooperative.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Authorization is granted to purchase 972 yard waste carts and
1,944 refuse carts from Rehrig Pacific Company in the amount of $143,564.40.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
