Ord 04-2017 2/7/2017 Ordinance No. _04-2017__ Ordinance awarding bid and contract for the 2016 Kemp Monroe Drainage Project Phase I to Chad & Brandi, Inc. dba Wilson Contracting in the amount of $3,992,634.50, and making an appropriation of $1,553,000 of Stormwater Utility Funds for the project WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has advertised for bids for the 2016 Kemp Monroe Drainage Project Phase I (CWF16-552-01); and, WHEREAS, it is found that the lowest responsible bidder is Wilson Contracting, who made a unit price bid with an estimated total of $3,992,634.50; and WHEREAS, the original budget anticipated this project in three phases and due to funding availability was consolidated into two phases requiring additional funds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: The unit price bid for the 2016 Kemp Monroe Drainage Project Phase I (CWF16- 552-01) is awarded to Chad & Brandi, Inc. dba Wilson Contracting, in an estimated total amount of $3,992,634.50; additional appropriations are made in the amount of $1,553,000 from Stormwater Utility Funds; and the City Manager is authorized to execute a contract for the City with said Contractor for the construction of such project.
