Resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into an agreement
with Trinity Hughes, LLC for up to $61,500 for Design-Build Services
related to the Sheppard Air Force Base Main Gate Bus Transfer Plaza
and Parking Lot Project
W HEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls is in the early phase of designing a new bus
transfer plaza and parking facility to serve Sheppard Air Force Base ; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds the City properly advertised for Design -Build
proposals for the Sheppard Air Force Base Main Gate Bus Transfer Plaza and Parking
Lot Project and complied with all applicable provisions under Texas Government Code;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council and City Manager have determined that the Design -
Build method of obtaining the completion of this project will provide a better value for
the City with respect to this expenditure than construction pursuant to receipt of
competitive bids.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to execute an agreement, in a form approved by
the City Attorney, in an amount up to $61,500 with Trinity Hughes, LLC for Design-Build
services for the construction of the Sheppard Air Force Base Main Gate Bus Transfer
Plaza and Parking Lot project.
