Ordinance making an appropriation from Kickapoo Airport Reserve
Funds in the amount of $467,000 for the City's local matching
requirements for grants received from the Aviation Division of the
Texas Department of Transportation for apron expansion and
taxiway reconstruction work at Kickapoo Downtown Airport
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls intends to perform capital improvements at
Kickapoo Downtown Airport to include the expansion of the aircraft apron,
reconstruction of the private hangar taxiway, and storm water drainage improvements ;
and,
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls accepted $4,201,110 on June 3, 2013 from
the Texas Department of Transportation Aviation Division for these projects; and,
WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Transportation Aviation Division will serve
as an agent on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls for the purpose disbursing and
managing all funds and construction for the implementation of these improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
An appropriation in the amount of $467,000 from the Kickapoo Downtown Airport
Reserve Funds is hereby approved for the City’s local match for capital improvement
program grants from the Texas Department of Transportation Aviation Division for work
at Kickapoo Downtown Airport to include apron expansion, taxiway reconstruction, and
storm water drainage improvements.
