Resolution repealing Resolution No. 1124, as amended by
Resolution No. 171-90, dissolving the Aviation Advisory Board
WHEREAS, the Aviation Advisory Board was created in 1970 in order to (a)
monitor commercial aviation for quality of service; (b) make general studies to insure
aviation is meeting the City’s needs; and (c) make recommendations regarding
aerospace related activities at Municipal Airport; and,
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Regional Airport has recently undergone a massive
renovation, and therefore the need for such advisory board is less urgent than in past
years; and,
WHEREAS, fewer citizens desire to serve on the various boards and commissions
of the City, making it harder each year to fill all vacancies, and to meet the necessary
quorums at various meetings; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that such Aviation Advisory Board
should be dissolved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Resolution No. 1124, as amended by Resolution No. 171-90, is hereby repealed,
thus dissolving the Aviation Advisory Board.
