Res 125-2016 12/20/2016Resolution No. _125-2016__ Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a Task Order #4 with Carollo Engineers, Inc. for an archeological survey related to the Lake Wichita 404 Permit application to the US Army Corps of Engineers in an amount not to exceed $71,575 WHEREAS, the City has engaged the consulting firm of Carollo Engineers, Inc. to produce a successful application to the US Army Corps of Engineers for a Clean Water Act 404 Permit for Lake Wichita excavation and other improvements, and, WHEREAS, the Texas Historical Commission and the USACOE require an archeological survey of the Lake Wichita perimeter as a requirement for the 404 Permit. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a Task Order #4 with Carollo Engineers, Inc. for an archeological survey of Lake Wichita related to the 404 Permit application in an amount not to exceed $71,575. PASSED AND APPROVED this the 20th day of December, 2016. ______________________________ M A Y O R ATTEST: ____________________ City Clerk IIG69:(e]G1elaF(yl THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS (OWNER) AND CAROLLO ENGINEERS, INC- (ENGINEER) This Task Order (f0) is issued by the ENGINEER and accepted by the OWNER pursuant to the mutual promises, covenants and conditions contained in the Agreement between the above named parties dated the 3rd day of September, 2015, in connection with: Lake Wichita Revitalization Project 404 Permit (Project) 21111009PU ENGINEER proposes, in this TOM, to add and authorize the Lake Wichita Archeological Survey (Survey) to the original contract dated 91312015. ENGINEER'S SERVICES Engineering services in this TO#4 primarily include tasks outlined in the proposal attached from SWCA Environmental Consultants, a subconsultant to Carollo Engineers, Inc In addition to completing the Survey, Carollo will: • Coordinate with SWCA to complete the Survey (see attached proposal) • Provide SWCA information about the existing permit, as necessary • Incorporate the Survey results into the permit package by modifying language, figures, tables, appendices, etc. as necessary. • Coordinate with the USACE Tulsa District to modify the 404 permit. • Deliver modified materials to the USACE as requested. • Coordinate with the USACE Tulsa District on the archeological desktop analysis of potential spoil area locations. Induces the incorporation of desktop analysis into the permit package, as requested by USACE. • Revisions and response to comments from USACE_ Note: Carollo Engineers, Inc. assumes the Survey will result in no modifications to the proposed lake or amenities. Carollo will not modify exhibits (Appendix A), lake contours, modeling scenarios, or analyses under this authorization. Page 1 of 2
