Ordinance No. _52-2016__
Ordinance accepting funds in the amount of $73,400.00 received
from the FY 2016 Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP) and
authorizing the City Manager to execute contracts and other
documents related thereto
WHEREAS, the Emergency Preparedness Office has received notice of the
award of 2016 HSGP funding from the Texas Governor’s Office; and,
WHEREAS, the City’s Emergency Preparedness Office desires to receive these
funds to continue equipping Wichita Falls equipment to aide in response to CBRNE
incidents; and,
WHEREAS, these funds were already appropriated through the adoption of the
FY 2016 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The 2016 Homeland Security Grant Fund in the amount of $73,400.00 is hereby
accepted and the City Manager is authorized to execute a contract with the
Texas Governor’s accepting the grant and other documents related thereto.
