Ordinance Making An Appropriation To The Special Revenue Fund
For Emergency Preparedness In The Amount Of $46,477.31 Received
From The FY 2011 Emergency Management Performance Grant
(EMPG) And Authorizing The City Manager To Accept Same
WHEREAS, the Emergency Preparedness Program has received notice of the
award of 2011 EMPG funding from the Texas Division of Emergency Management; and,
WHEREAS, the City's Emergency Preparedness Program desires to receive
these funds to continue providing services to the city; and
WHEREAS, the award of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to
the adoption of the FY 2011 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is hereby appropriated into the Special Revenue Fund $46,477.31 for the
Emergency Management Performance Grant, and the City Manager is authorized to
execute all documents necessary to accept said funds, including a contract with The
Texas Division of Emergency Management for the Fire Department /Emergency
Preparedness.
