RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF A BUS STOP
SHELTER FROM BRASCO INTERNATIONAL IN THE AMOUNT OF
$13,314.00; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED AND WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desires to install a bus stop shelter for
passengers utilizing the transit system near Sheppard Air Force Base (SAFB); and
WHEREAS, the City has located and obtained a written price quote for an
attractive 12' by 30' passenger waiting shelter from Brasco International in the amount
of $13,314; and
WHEREAS, the City has obtained a grant from the Federal Transit
Administration in the amount of $9,000 for the shelter, with the remaining project cost
being funded from existing departmental budgets through personnel savings derived
from attrition.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The purchase of a 12' by 30' passenger waiting shelter from
Brasco International in the amount of $13,314 is authorized.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
