ORDINANCE NO. ��
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 2-301 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES, BY REDEFINING COMMISSION COMPOSITION OF
THE WATER RESOURCES COMMISSION; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, Section 2-301 of the Code of Ordinances provides for the
establishment and composition of the Water Resources Commission; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council that the composition of this
Commission be modified.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . Section 2-301 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby amended to
read as follows:
"Sec. 2-301. Established; composition.
(a) There is established a permanent water resources commission. The
commission shall be composed of one representative of each of the following:
(1) Industry.
(2) Education.
(3) Commercial Business Representative.
(4) SAFB/Government Representative.
(5) Water Resources Engineer.
(6) Citizenry at large.
(b) In addition, the city council will appoint one of its members to serve as
liaison to the commission, and the city manager will appoint a staff person to support
and administer the commission proceedings."
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
