ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS,
AMENDING ORDINANCE 10-2009, REPLACING A POLLING LOCATION AND
ELECTION OFFICIALS FOR THE MAY 9, 2009 GENERAL SPECIAL MUNICIPAL
ELECTION; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, on February 3, 2009, the City Council approved Ordinance 10-2009,
ordering a General Municipal Election to be held on May 9, 2009, for the purpose of
electing a Councilor at Large, Councilor District 1, and Councilor District 2; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to replace McGaha School in City Box 13 with
Southern Hills Elementary School, and to replace some of the election officials.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 10-2009 is hereby amended to replace McGaha
School with Southern Hills Elementary School in City Box 13 as the Polling Place.
SECTION 2. Ordinance No. 10-2009 is hereby amended to replace certain
election officials as noted in Exhibit A attached hereto.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
