RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, CERTIFYING AN EMERGENCY SHELTER
GRANTS PROGRAM APPLICATION BY FIRST STEP, INC. OF
WICHITA FALLS AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR'S SIGNATURE;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH
THE RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, First Step, Inc. of Wichita Falls desires to submit an Emergency
Shelter Grant Program application to the Texas Department of Housing and Community
Affairs to provide assistance to survivors of domestic violence; and
WHEREAS, the City Council certifies the services to be provided; and
WHEREAS, the City Council authorizes the Mayor to sign and execute the
"Certification of Local Government Approval of ESGP Application for Private Nonprofit
Organizations."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . The City Council of the City of Wichita Falls hereby certifies the
planned application activities and authorizes the Mayor to sign and execute the
"Certification of Local Government Approval of ESGP Application for Private Nonprofit
Organizations."
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
