RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AWARDING BID AND CONTRACT FOR TAXIWAY B
CONSTRUCTION FOR KICKAPOO DOWNTOWN AIRPARK; FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desires to construct a new partial parallel
taxiway (B) and associated drainage improvements at Kickapoo Downtown Airpark; and
WHEREAS, Federal Aviation Administration Airport Improvement Program
federal entitlement moneys are available to the City of Wichita Falls to fund 90% of cost
for this project and sufficient City airport funds are available to fund the additional 10%
of the project cost.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . Said bid of Jordan Paving Corporation in the amount of
$1,156,490.00 is hereby accepted, and the City Manager is authorized to execute a
contract for the City with said Contractor for the construction of a new partial parallel
taxiway (B) and associated drainage improvements at Kickapoo Downtown Airpark.
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
