Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
Accepting Grant Funds From The 2008 Homeland Security Grant And
2008 Law Enforcement Terrorism Prevention Program Grant And
Making Budgetary Appropriations In The Special Revenue Fund Of
The City In The Amount Of $137,119.25
WHEREAS, the City has been notified that it has been awarded $112,931.73
from the 2008 State Homeland Security Program and $24,187.52 from the 2008 Law
Enforcement Terrorism Prevention Program; and
WHEREAS, the total of the grants of $137,119.25 have been identified to support
the completion of the Unified Mobile Command Post with radio, satellite and navigation
equipment, allowing for improved communication interoperability and improved incident
management capabilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City hereby (1) accepts the 2008 State Homeland Security Program and Law
Enforcement Terrorism Prevention Program grants in the amount of $137,119.25 as
described above, (2) appropriates the aforesaid amount in the Special Revenue Fund of
the City to account for these expenditures, and (3) authorizes the City Manager to
execute all documents necessary to accept and administer the aforementioned grants.
