RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AWARD OF BID FOR THE PURCHASE
OF THREE (3) HYDRAULIC LIFT SERVICE BODIES TO LONGHORN
TRAILER IN THE AMOUNT OF $37,820.40; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the
purchase and installation of various vehicle service bodies; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and publicly opened on March 20, 2003; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase service bodies for the City's
vehicle fleet.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . Authorization is granted to award bid for three (3) hydraulic lift
service bodies to local bidder, Longhorn Trailer of Wichita Falls, in the amount of
$37,820.40.
SECTION 2 The City Council finds and determines that an award of bid to
Longhorn Trailer of Wichita Falls offers the City the best combination of price and
additional economic development opportunities for the City, including the employment of
residents and increased tax revenue.
SECTION 3 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
