RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AWARD OF BID TWO (2) EACH 2 -TON
CAB & CHASSIS IN THE AMOUNT OF $99,370.00 TO WICHITA FALLS
FREIGHTLINER; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING
AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the
purchase of two (2) each 2 -ton cab & chassis; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and publicly opened on November 17, 2003; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase two (2) each 2 -ton cab &
chassis for the City's vehicle fleet.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . Authorization is granted to award the bid for two (2) each 2 -ton
cabs & chassis to the local bidder Wichita Falls Freightliner the amount of $99,370.00.
SECTION 2 The City Council finds and determines that an award of bid to
Wichita Falls Freightliner offers the City the best combination of price and additional
economic development opportunities for the City, including employment of residents
and increased tax revenue.
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
