RESOLUTION TO REJECT THE BIDS FOR THE CYPRESS WATER
TREATMENT PLANT IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls opened bids for the Cypress Water
Treatment Plant Improvements Project; and
WHEREAS, the apparent low bidder significantly exceeds the engineer's
estimate for this project ; and
WHEREAS, the City staff recommends that the bids be rejected.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . The bids for the Cypress Water Treatment Plant Improvements
Project are hereby rejected.
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 18th day of February, 2003.
