RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT WITH TXDOT FOR JOINT DEVELOPMENT OF A
HIGHWAY ENTRANCE LANDSCAPE PROJECT BY THE POND IN THE
MEDIAN OF US 82/287 AT THE EASTERN ENTRANCE TO THE
CITY ;FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH
THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, it is desirable to continue the landscape beautification of the
highway medians and entrances to the city; and
WHEREAS, TXDOT has proposed a joint project to enhance the pond in the
median of US 82/287 at the eastern entrance to the city with retaining wall, Wichita
Falls lettering, plantings, irrigation, and lighting; and
WHEREAS, the City has its share of resources to complete the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the attached
contract with TXDOT for a landscape enhancement project to the pond in the median of
US 82/287 at the eastern entrance to Wichita Falls.
SECTION It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which
this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
