Ordinance Authorizing The City Manager To Execute All Documents
Necessary To Accept A Public Health Emergency Preparedness
Grant In The Amount Of $165,188.70 To Support Public Health
Emergency And Laboratory Preparedness And Said Amount Is
Hereby Appropriated In The Special Revenue Fund For The Public
Health Emergency Preparedness And Laboratory Preparedness
Grant
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District has received
an award from the Department of State Health Services for emergency and laboratory
preparedness;
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls — Wichita County Public Health District and the
Department of State Health Services desire to enter into a contract to improve the public
health emergency preparedness effort through planning, outreach and education
activities; and
WHEREAS, approval of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to the
adoption of the FY 2008-2009 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to execute all documents necessary to accept a
Public Health Emergency Preparedness Grant in the amount of $165,188.70 to support
public health emergency and laboratory preparedness and said amount is hereby
appropriated in the Special Revenue Fund for the Public Health Emergency
Preparedness and Laboratory Preparedness Grant.
