RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF GRASSHOPPER
LAWN MOWERS THROUGH THE TEXAS BUILDING AND
PROCUREMENT COMMISSION STATE CONTRACT, FROM MORIDGE
MANUFACTURING, INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF $38,939.00; FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, local governments are authorized by Chapter 791, et seq., The
Interlocal Cooperation Act of the Government Code, to agree with other local
governments to form purchasing cooperatives; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls has passed a resolution
approving the City's participation in such cooperative agreements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase three (3) Model 428D
Grasshopper riding lawn mowers and one (1) Model 721D riding lawn mower, and
WHEREAS, it is in the City's best interest to purchase through the Texas Building
and Procurement Commission State Contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . Authorization be granted to purchase of three (3) Grasshopper
Model 428D mowers and one (1) model 721D from Moridge Manufacturing, Inc., in the
amount of $38,939.00.
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
