RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE FY 2002-
2003 BUDGET FOR THE WICHITA FALLS (413) SALES TAX
CORPORATION FOR MUSEUM FURNISHINGS IN CONJUNCTION
WITH THE RENOVATION OF THE "LITTLE ADOBE;" FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, a community -wide effort has begun to renovate and expand the "Old
Adobe" into a museum on Sheppard Air Force Base; and
WHEREAS, the 4B Board of Directors met on Friday, March 14, 2003, to
consider a request from the Heritage Foundation for museum furnishings; and
WHEREAS, the 4B Board has authorized this project in the amount of $150,000
and recommends an amendment to the Corporation's FY 2002 -2003 budget to include
an appropriation of $150,000 necessary for the purchase of museum furnishings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . The FY 2002 -2003 budget of the Wichita Falls 4B Sales Tax
Corporation is hereby amended to include an appropriation of $150,000 for the
purchase of museum furnishings.
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
