RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH THE WICHITA FALLS YMCA FOR
EXTENDED RESERVATION PRIVILEGES TO USE BALL FIELDS IN
KIWANIS AND LAKE WICHITA PARKS FOR THEIR 2003 YOUTH
BASEBALL LEAGUE; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN
TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls YMCA has requested permission to extended
reservation privilege to conduct another youth baseball league on nine ball fields in
Kiwanis and Lake Wichita Parks; and
WHEREAS, the license agreement will continue the understanding that the
YMCA will progressively assume more maintenance on the fields for which they request
reservation; and
WHEREAS, there were no problems reported last year during the conduct of this
league, and the City wishes to provide recreational opportunities for its citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a license
agreement with the Wichita Falls YMCA, granting extended reservation privileges on
nine ball fields in Kiwanis and Lake Wichita Parks on which to conduct their youth
baseball league in 2003.
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
