RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING WITHDRAWAL OF THE DEMOLITION
BID FROM JOHN L. HANCOCK COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF
$15,353.80 AND AWARD OF BID TO MOTE, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF
$14,070.00 AND DAVIS CONSTRUCTION IN THE AMOUNT OF
$12,653.29; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the
demolition of eleven (11) hazardous structures; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and publicly opened on March 5, 2003; and
WHEREAS, John L. Hancock Company has requested to withdraw their bid for a
"remedial mistake, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to have the hazardous structures
demolished.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
S ECTION 1 . Authorization be granted to John L. Hancock Company to withdraw
their bid for "remedial mistake ".
S ECTION 2. Authorization be granted to award bid to Mote, Inc. for six (6)
properties in the amount of $14,070.00; and to Davis Construction for five (5) properties
in the amount of $12,653.29.
S ECTION 3 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
