RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AWARD OF BID FOR ONE (1) 3 /4 -TON
SERVICE BODY IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,480.81 AND ONE (1) 2 -TON
SERVICE BODY IN THE AMOUNT OF $7,276.81 TO FOUNTAINE
TRUCK EQUIPMENT; ONE (1) CUSTOM HYDRAULIC LIFT BODY IN
THE AMOUNT OF $12,606.80 TO LONGHORN TRAILER, ONE (1) 1-
TON SERVICE BODY IN THE AMOUNT OF $6,200.00 AND TWO (2)
FLATBED BODIES IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,800.00 TO EQUIPMENT
SOUTHWEST; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the
purchase and installation of various vehicle service bodies; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and publicly opened on March 20, 2003; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase service bodies for the City's
vehicle fleet.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
S ECTION 1 . Authorization be granted to award bid for one (1) '/< -ton service
body in the amount of $5,480.81 and one (1) 2 -ton service body in the amount of
$7,276.81 to Fountaine Truck Equipment; one (1) custom hydraulic lift body in the
amount of $12,606.80 to Longhorn Trailer, one (1) 1 -ton service body in the amount of
$6,200.00 and two (2) flatbed bodies in the amount of $3,800.00 to Equipment
Southwest.
S ECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
