RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AN EXPENDITURE BY THE WICHITA
FALLS POLICE DEPARTMENT FROM THE FY 2001/2002 LOCAL LAW
ENFORCEMENT BLOCK GRANT (LLEBG) FUND ACCOUNT FOR A
ONE -TIME EXPENDITURE OF $81,060.00; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls Police Department is awarded Local Law
Enforcement Block Grant (LLEBG) funding; and,
WHEREAS, certain programs and the procurement of specific hardware may be
funded entirely by the LLEBG Funds account; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls Police Department has funding available in
the amount of $81,060.00 in the LLEBG account. It is the desire of the City Council to
authorize this expenditure.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . The expenditure of funds in the amount of $81,060.00 is hereby
authorized for expenses necessary to procure weapons, and other related Police
Department equipment.
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
