RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 122 -2002,
AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR FOURTEENTH YEAR FUNDING OF
THE NORTH TEXAS REGIONAL DRUG ENFORCEMENT TASK
FORCE; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas passed
Resolution No. 122 -2002 on December 3, 2002, authorizing the City Manager to apply
for fourteenth year funding of the North Texas Regional Drug Enforcement Task Force,
and,
WHEREAS, the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division, Byrne
Program, to which the grant application was addressed, has requested further
clarification of the City's responsibility for all required matched funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . Resolution 122 -2002 is hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 2 . The City Manager is hereby authorized to make application for
fourteenth year funding of the North Texas Regional Drug Enforcement Task Force
Grant to the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division, Byrne Program.
SECTION 3. The City_ of Wichita Falls guarantees matching _funds
requirement shall be paid for fourteenth year funding of the North Texas Regional
Drug Enforcement Task Force.
SECTION 4 . In the event of loss or misuse of the Criminal Justice Division
funds, the City of Wichita Falls assures that the funds will be returned to the Criminal
Justice Division, Office of the Governor, in full.
SECTION 5 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
